Description:
The work includes a new booster pump station and approximately 650-feet of 24-inch waterline (Pebble Beach Pump Station Discharge piping) located at California American Water’s Forest Lake Storage Tank site in Pebble Beach, CA. The Work to be done under this Contract includes all work as shown on the Contract Documents, as further divided into bid items described in Section 01025, Measurement and Payment, and generally including the following:
1. Mobilization and demobilization to perform required Work per Section 01505, including Pre and Post-Construction photography and video.
2. Construction of the 24-inch discharge piping and appurtenances, testing, disinfection, and startup.
3. Construction of the booster pump station consisting of pre-cast concrete building, booster pumps, piping, valves, below grade flow meter in new utility vault, below grade motorized valve in new utility vault, as well as other electrical and instrumentation. Upgraded electrical service from Pacific Gas and Electric will be a part of the project. New electrical also includes a standby generator with new concrete retaining wall.
4. Protection of existing pipelines and other facilities during construction activities.
5. Environmental protection and restoration measures as required. See Section 01062 for Environmental Requirements.
6. Site backfill, finish grading, paving and restoration.
7. Coordination with California American Water to maintain delivery of water through existing facilities and minimize service interruptions.
8. Coordination with the Monterey County, State and Federal agencies with jurisdiction over the project site.
